Information of Witnesses severally taken and Acknowledged
on the behalf of our Sovereign Lord the King touching the
Death of Thomas Davies< no role > at the dwelling House of Sebastian
Witze
< no role > known by the Sign of the White Swan in the Parish of
St. Clement Danes , within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middx on the
16th. day of March in the Second Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord King George the Third before the Thomas
Richard
< no role > His Majesty's Coroner for the said City and Liberty
on an Inquisition than and there taken on view of the Body
of the said Thomas Davis< no role > then and there lying Dead, as
follow, to Wit.

Richard Teuly< no role > of Henrietta Street Covent Garden Surgeon
on his Oath saith that on Wednesday the third of March last
he was sent for to attend the deced at his Chambers in Clements
Jun says be found the deceased's Face excoriated, and the deced
complained of a Blower Blows which he said he had received
in the Stair Case from some person or Persons unknown and
said he had some inward pains as if he was bruised internally
says that Dept. attended the deced to the time of his Death
which was the eleventh instant. Says he saw the deced according to the [..] t of his Rembrance the
Day before he was sent for to him, and he was then in very
good Health, and verily believes the deced dyed of some inward
Injury he had reced from Some Blows given him says that
the deced informed Dept. that he suspected one Nicholson
Master of a Merchant Ship had beat him,onhe having
threatened to be revenged of the deced, on Account of the
deceased's having lately arrested said Nicholson

Mary Davies< no role > of Charing Cross Clements [..] Spinster Sister to the deced on
her Oath saith that the used to attend her Brother's Chambers in
the Day time and return to her Lodgings in the Evening. says that
on Tuesday the Second day of March last about half an hour after eight in the Evening having been
out she returned to her Brothers Chambers and found him on
the Bed with his Cloaths on and bleeding at his Nose and Mouth,
says she wiped his Face several Times and he continued bleeding
till near twelve o'Clock at Night, and upon his Coughing
the Blood frequently gushed out, says he was insensible during
the above time. that upon pulling off his Cloaths he cryed out
he was murdered. says she put him to Bed and sat up by him
