to wit


An Inquisition indented and taken at the Parish of St. Paul Covent
Garden in the Liberty of Westminster within the Liberty of the Darn and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter
at Westminster the Thirtieth day of January in the Second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third
by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith and so faith and in the
Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty two , Before John Feary< no role > Coroner for our Sovereign
Lord the King for the City and Liberty of Westminster aforesaid upon a View of the Body of William Lympas< no role >
then and there lying Dead by the Oaths of John Roberts< no role > , James Brand< no role > , John Stacey< no role > , James Robertson< no role > ,
John Callen< no role > , Alexander Debble< no role > , Richard Singleton< no role > , John Lightfoot< no role > , George Stephens< no role > , John Mackoun< no role > ,
Joseph Stephenson< no role > John Dunn< no role > , Patrick Fegon< no role > , Walter Butler< no role > and John Ascroft< no role > ,
Good and Lawfull Men of the said City and Liberty who being
Sworn and Charged to Enquire for our Sovereign Lord the King how when where and in what manner, the
said William Lympas came to his Death say upon their Oaths. That on Friday the 29th day of January
Instant about 4 oClock in the Morning the said William Lympas being in a certain Chariot Oberon
by two Houses and being [..] reatly intoxicated with liquor it so happen'd that the said William Lympas
in his passage from Paardia how at Chelsea in the County of Middlesex to his dwelling in Bow
Street Covent Garden in the Liberty and County aforesaid by means of the Liquor aforesaid was
Suffocated of which said Suffocation the said William Lympas instantly died and so the said
Jurors aforesaid upon their Oaths aforesaid do say that the said William Lympas the Day & Year
aforesaid in the Parish Liberty and County aforesaid in manner as aforesaid cause to his Death
and not otherwise. In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the Freeman of the Jurors
aforesaid have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and Place
abovemention'd.
