on Monday the 10th. instant June before Joseph

and charged George Grubham< no role >
the master of the
Roebuck public house in MilbankStreet
Westminster
with
violently assaulting and beating his wife Mary Whallin< no role >
who want into said house for a Pot of beer, & there saw
the said George Grubham beating his wife with an Ale
house Pot
Mrs. Whallin interfered [..] and begged
him not to beat his wife in so brutal a manner when
said George Grubham< no role >
said he would knock them both
down, and accordingly did knock Mrs. Whallin down
and stamp upon her leg, & broke one of the small bones
of it, and otherwise so much injured and bruised her
that she is now conferred to her bed, in a very dangerous
condition, and by the report of the Surgeon, as well as by her
husband
totally unable to attend the Grand Jury on the
bill of Indictment intended to be preferred this Session agst.
