of Westminster ,
To wit.}


To the Constable or other Officer of the Peace of the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields ,
Within the Liberty of Westminster , and County of Middlesex , or to the Contractor
for conveying Vagrants from and out of the said Liberty and County, to receive and
convey; And to the Church-Wardens, Chapel-Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish, Place, or Precinct of Saint James, within the Liberty of
Westminster in the County of Middlesex or either of them, to receive and obey.

WHEREAS Mary Harley hath been appre-
hended in the said Parish of St. Martin in the Fields , and duly convicted
before Me, one of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace in and for the said City and
Liberty, for that she the said Mary Harley< no role > did
Wander abroad and beg
in the last-mentioned Parish. And the said Mary Harley< no role >
as such Rogue and Vagabond, hath been this Day committed by Me to the House
of Correction for the said City and Liberty, for the Space of Seven
Days (which I do hereby certify); and upon Examination of the said Mary
Harley taken before me upon Oath (which Examination is here-
unto annexed) it doth appear that the said Parish of Saint James
is the Place of her last legal Settlement.

THESE are therefore to require you the said Constable, or other Officer
(immediately after the Expiration of the said Seven Days) to convey the
said Mary Harley< no role > to the Parish of
in the County ofthat being the first
Parish in the Precinct, through whichought to pass,
in the next
direct Way to the Parish of Saint James to which she
is to be sent,and to deliverto the Constables or other Officers of such first
Parish, in such next Precinct, together with this Pass, and the Depth [..] of the
Examination of the said Vagabond, taking his Receipt for the same. And the said
Vagabond is to be from thence conveyed on in like Manner to the Parish of
aforesaid,
there to be delivered to some
Church-Warden , Chapel-Warden, or Overseers of the Poor to be provided for
according to Law. And you the said Church-Wardens, Chapel-Wardens, and
Overseers of the Poor , are hereby required to receive the said Person, and provide
for her as aforesaid.

Given under my Hand and Seal, this first Day of March
in the Year of our Lord 17 99.
