Oath upon the holy Gospel of God to say the Truth of and upon the Premises
in the sd. Information specified (we the sd. Justices now here having sufficient
power & Authority to administer the sd. oath to the sd. Robt. Williams< no role > in this
Behalf) And the sd Robt. Williams< no role > being so sworn. now here before us in
the Presence of the sd. John Flockton< no role > upon his sd. oath Deposeth & Sweareth
Of and upon the Premises in the sd. Information above Specified that on the
said 27th. Day of Feby. in the 10th Year Aforesaid at the sd Parish of St. James
within the Libertys of the city Westmr. aforesaid the sd. Jno. Flockton< no role > did cause to be acted
Represented & Performd for hire Gain and Reward a certain part of a
Certain farce called the Upholsterer to wit the Part of Rasor in the sd. farce
called the Upholsterer without Authority by Virtue of Letters Patent from his
Majesty or any of his Predecessors & without Licence from the Ld Chamberlain
of his Majesty< no role > 's Houshold for the Time being and that he the said John
Flockton did receive and take from him the sd. Robt. Williams< no role > the Sum
of Six Pence for such Acting Representing & Performing as Aforesd. agt. the
form of the Statute in such case made & Provided whereupon the said
John Flockton< no role > is now here askd by us the sd. Justices if he hath anything
to say or olter for himself why he should not be Convicted of the matters
So as Aforesaid charged upon him in & by the sd. Information & he the sd. John
Flockton now here doth not make any sufficient Defence for himself of & upon
the Premises so as aforesaid charged upon him Whereupon all & Singular
the matters aforesd. being now here fully weighd & Considerd by us the sd.
Justices it Sufficiently appears to us that the sd. John Flockton< no role > is Guilty of
the Matters so as aforesaid charged upon him in & by the sd. Information
Therefore it is now here that is to say on the sd. 14th. Day of Mar in the 10th Year
Aforesd. at the sd. Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden within the Liberties of the sd
City of Westmr . considerd & Adjudged by us the sd. Justices that he the sd. Jno. Flockton< no role >
upon the Oath of the sd Robt. Williams< no role > a Credible Witness as Aforesd. is Convicted
of the matters so as aforesd. charged upon him in & by the sd. Information
According to the form of the sd. Stat. And that he the said John Flockton< no role > for
his offence aforesd. hath forfeited the Sum of £50 to be applied and paid
According to the Directions of the sd Statute. In Witness whereof we the said
Sr. John Fielding< no role > Knt . & Wm. Kelynge< no role > Esqr . the Justices Aforesd. do hereunto
Set our hands and Seals at the sd Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden
within the Liberties of the sd City of Westminster on the sd. 14th. Day of
March in the 10th Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord< no role > George the 3d
by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland
Defender of the faith & so forth & in the Year of our Lord 1770
