Wido . for an Assault

William Grant< no role > of the Parish of St. Clement danes in
the County of Middlesex Smith the Defendant in
[..] ove Prosecution Maketh Oath Saith
That He was at the last July Sessions held for the
City and Liberty of Westminster Indicted for
Makeing an assault upon the Prosecutrix Elizabeth
Frow
< no role > and Finding the same be true Bills He then
Pleaded Not Guilty to the Indictment the last Sessions and
Entred into a Recognizance for to Try his Traverse
at this Present Sessions And this Deponent further
Saith That He thro' Neglect [..] Imploying an
Attorney or Sollicitor to Draw a Proper Notice of
Tryal to be Delivered to the Proscx. in due Time
and being Informed that he is at this Time too
late to give Notice, Prays a Respite of his
Recognizance. till the next Session [..] also
[..] saith That his most [..] Witnesses
are Gone to Reside in Cambridgeshire and not
certain of there Return But Verily Believes that
they will return to London before the next Sessions to
Give their Testimony on his Behalf.
