These are to Certify That at the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King holden at the Town Court House near Westmr. Hall in & for the
Liberty of the Dean & Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter Westmr . the City
Borough [..] Town of Westmr. in the County of Middx & Sr. Martin le grand London
on W [..] ay [..] Seventh day of October in the Twenty first Year of the Reign of
our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc Richard Manley< no role >
Esqr . one of the Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the Peace within
the said Liberty And also to hear & determine divers Felonies Trespasses & other
misdeeds dane & committed within the said Liberty did Certify a certain Recognizance
taken before him by which William Tugwell< no role > Victualler of Kentish Town in the
County of Middx stood bound with two Sureties Conditioned that the said William
Tugwell should Personally appear at the Sessions of the peace above mentioned
and there answer the Complaint of Overseers of the poor of the parish of
St. Margaret for unlawfully begetting Rachel Warwick< no role > Singlewoman with Child
of a Bastard Child or Children of which she [..] was then pregrant & which
when born were likely to become chargable to the said parish Dated this
Twenty Eighth day of October 1748.
