These are to Certify that the Statute Law now in
Force to Oblige the Inhabitants to mend the Highways Six
days in the year is not Sufficient to repair and Amend the
Highways Causeways & pavements of the Parish of St George
Hanover Square in the said Liberty without an Order of ye
Quarter Sessions of the Peace held for the said Liberty to
maker a Rate and Assessment on the Inhabitants of the
said Parish for raising the Sum of four hundred pounds
and upwards for and towards the Repairing & Amending
the Highways Etc belonging to the said Parish And doe
also Certifie that the Contents of the within Petition is
true
