To the Worshipful His Majesties Justices of the Peace at their Generall Quarter Sessions
Held by Adjournment for the City & Liberty of Westmr. this Eleventh Day of March
1716.

The humble Petition of Mary Fletcher< no role > Wife of John Fletcher< no role >
of the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty aforesaid Butcher .

Sheweth


That Your Petitioner was Indicted last October Sessions for an Assault upon one Elizabeth
Tewxbury
< no role > that after the said Sessions was over Your Petitioner was Served with a Burch
Warrant from this Honoble Court to Answer the said Indictment thereupon Bail was Given in
for your Petitioner before the Worshipfull Jeffrey Saunders< no role > Esqr . to Appear the then next
Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden for the said City and Liberty And to plead to
the said Indictment But So it is May It Please your Worships that Sometime between
the Seventh Day of January last and the last Adjournment Day of this Prsent Sessions One
Richard Gally Prtending to be an Officer in this Court Came to your Petitioner and Demanded
of her the Sum of Ten Shillings which he said was for Forfeiting Yor. Peticoners Recognizance
for not appearing this Prsent Sessions And also threatened yor Peticoner that he could or would
said her to the Gatehouse in Case she refused to pay the Same Shewing to your Petitioner at the Same
Time a Piece at Parchment which he said was Process against yor. Peticoner Issued out of this
Court for Her said Neglect That yor. Peticoner being Terrifeild and affrighted by his threats as
aforesaid Paid the said Richard Gally the Sum above mentioned

March 11th 1716
Your Peticoner therefore being advised That the is
Oppressed & Aggrieved by the said Richard Gally humbly
Prays That the may be Relieved in the Prmisses as to your
Worships shall Seem meet

And yor. Petrs. as in Duty bound shall ever pray Etca.
