and we have agreed to grant a Lease of the said 3 Acres to the
said Mr Morton for the remainder of the term in Mr Gaylers Lease
at the clear rent of £4:10s P ann.

Gratuity
to G. Green

We having considered the service of George Green< no role > , Clerk in
the Compting house in afficiating as steward during the vacancy
of that Office and other extraordinary services done by him for
the Hospital We ordered him £50 as a gratuity in respect
thereof.

We have agreed with Mr. Francis Mannoock< no role > to purchase
of him some buildings and ground lying behind the Hospital
Chappel and the apartments belonging to the Hospitaller and
Steward for the Sum of £250

Grant to the
Tenants at
Tibshelf


The Leases of the Hospital Estate at Tibshelf in Derby-
shire being near expiration We appointed a Sub Committee of
Governors of this Hospital to go to that Estate to view and Let the
same and four of the Gentlemen appointed took the pains to go
thither and upon their Report we have agreed to grant Leases
of the said Estate (except the Cole works) to several Tenants
for 21 Years from Michas next when the present Leases expire
on such fines as were paid on the last Leases with an advanced
rent of Six pence paire save two or three small variations in
favour of the Hospital as appears by the Minutes of those
Agreements entered in our Minute Book to which in order
to avoid tediousness in this Report we crave leave to refer

We having considered the good service of Mr. Thomas Richardson< no role >
who looks after the Tibshelf Estate and thinking his present allow-
-ance of £40 Shillings P ann with some smal perquisites to be too
little for the business he does We have thought fit & reasonable
to allow him £4 P ann instead of his said present Allowanced
and to excuse him from the Charge of holding Courts and also
make him satisfaction for his expence in returning the fine.

We taking notice what Mr. Jonathan Welch< no role > Steward of this
Hospital has behaved himself very diligently for the year past
We recommend it to the General Court that he may have a gratuity
often pounds paid him by Mr. Treasurer

Gentlemen as proper Persons to be Governors of this Hospital
