that they had divided the said 600: Guineys between themselves and<lb></lb>

That upon due Consideracon had of the Nature and<lb></lb>

Examinacon And Reading the Orders of this House for bidding any<lb></lb>
Reward to be taken by the Physitians or Surgeons of the Cure of any<lb></lb>
poor patients here And alsoe on reading the Minutes of severall<lb></lb>
former Comittees and Orders of Generall Courts whereby Gratuites<lb></lb>
have been given to the <rs type="occupation" id="LMTHMG55301_occ877">Doctor Surgeons</rs>

Extraordinary Service dureing the late Warr, And it not appearing<lb></lb>
to us by the Minutes of any former Comittee that the said Doctor and<lb></lb>
Surgeon ever had leave to apply to the said Comr: for any Gratificacon<lb></lb>
or Bounty from the Government or Account of the sick and<lb></lb>
Wounded Seamen, And if they ever had such Leave, yett their present<lb></lb>
Applicacons being of a different Nature and tending only to<lb></lb>
Establish a Debt after the Rate of 6s:8d: p head And this Money<lb></lb>
being issued and received not as a Gratuity but as a Debt which<lb></lb>
use conceive they ought not to demand for any Service done in<lb></lb>
this Hospitall And for that an Allowance from the Government<lb></lb>
in respect of the said Sick and Wounded Seamen hath been exspected<lb></lb>
and of ten applyed for to the said Comr: on behalfe of the Hospitll.<lb></lb>
it selfe Wee were of Opinion that the saidDoctor<lb></lb>
Torlesse and Mr: Elton had acted unwarrantably in such their<lb></lb>
Applicacons for and receiving of the said Money and contrary<lb></lb>
to the Rules and practice of this House and the duty of their<lb></lb>
places and wee therefore thought fitt to suspend them from their<lb></lb>
said places untill the pleasure of this Court shall be knowne<lb></lb>
concerning them And for the further Information of this Court<lb></lb>
touching the Nature of this Case and the Matters alleadged<lb></lb>
by the said <rs type="occupation" id="LMTHMG55301_occ879">Doctor and Surgeon</rs>
