Subscriptions being recommended by the President
to the Court towards defraying the great charge & expence
of the Hospital Several of the Gentlemen now present

the President acquinting the Court with the death
of Samuel Gale< no role > their late Steward , The Court proceed-
ed to the Choice of some proper person to succeed
him, And the Petitions of John Archer< no role > , James Brouse< no role >
Fleetwood Clerk< no role > , George Green< no role > , John Mascall< no role > ,
Jonathan Welch< no role > , & Wm Wiggan< no role > , being presented
unto this Court & severally read, praying to be
appointed Steward in the room of the said Saml
Gale< no role > : The said James Brouse< no role > , was thereupon
duly Chosen, & accordingly admitted, It this Court
to the said Office of Steward of this Hospital
to hold the same with the Usual Salary and
perquisites during the good likeing of this Court
He observing all such rules & orders as now are or
shall hereafter be made by this Court or the Grand
Committee relative to the said Office
