Mr. Treasurer understands by a Friend who has
lately been at Parndon
. That John Nicholas< no role >
has cutt
downe Severall Trees upon the Land he holds of the
Hospitall, which he has sold or converted to his own use.
This is a Wast, for which he deserves a very Severe
prosecucon. Mr. Treasurer desires you would take the
Trouble imediately to informe your Selfe of the Truth of
what has been done and Send him a particular Account
of the Number Bigness and Kind of the Trees, and their
Values. And that you would acquaint him the Treasurer
expects he would be at the Compting house either Thursday
or Saterday morning in next week at furthest about Eleven
o Clock, and bring his Arreares of Rent with him, being
3 yeares and an halfe at Michas last, Mr. Treasurer
would have taken it kindly from you or any other of the
Hospitalls Tenants to have given him notice of this
Waste, and it would have been a peice of Justice to the
Charity so to have done
