MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County, () on Monday
the Second Day of December
in the Fortieth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Spencer
< no role > , John Hunter< no role > , Thomas Robinson< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell in the County aforesaid Did at the last General Quarter
Session of the peace held in and for this County Exhibit their Petition and
Appeal setting forth That by virtue of a pass Warrant or Order under the
Hands and Seals of John Scott< no role > and James Hebert< no role > Esquires two of His Majesty's
Justices of the peace in and for the County of Middlesex aforesaid (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the third day of October 1799. Charlotte Wall< no role >
Wife of William Wall< no role > (who was absent from her) and her Male Child named Thomas< no role >
aged about-One year and Eleven Months were removed and conveyed from and out
of the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields to the said Parish of St. Paul Shadwell as the place of
their last legal settlement whereby the petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved, which
said Appeal stood duly adjourned, until this Session

Now, upon hearing the "said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses
in and concerning the Premises. IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the
same is hereby dismissed, and that the said Order of the said two Justices be, and the same is
hereby confirmed; And IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell do maintain
and provide for the said Charlotte Wall< no role > and her said Child
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
