To the Worshipful the Magistrates for the County
of Middlesex

I by leave to accquaint Your Worships
that on application at the Clerks Office a payment
of My Bill on the County of Middlesex for Surveying
in the Year 1798 a found the Examining Committee
and deducted a Charge of £10:10: for My Travelling
Expences in Surveying an Enlargement to Baber
Bridge on Hounslow Heath .

I attended Sessions twice, to receive orders
made & produced plants Estimate, particular gor
Repairs Enlargements Attended twice on Mr. Hinderson
Mr. P [..] & other Magistrates at the Bridge ; to
show in what manner [..] intended the Improvement;
provisions to the Works being put in Execution

The Estimate was for Works only above the
Stream thee Under depths being uncertain, there was
a probability of considerable Extra Expence, which by
pregnant Attendance & Attention I prevented; having made
about 20 Journeys to superintend the Works, & measure
make up the Accounts.

The aggrigate Sum I have charged would
be very indifferent pay for the Trouble & Time I have
expended on this Business I have followed the [..]
mode of charging 5 P Cent which amounted to £10.3.0
in the present Case I am money out of pocket, without
any consideration for My time & trouble

I therefore solicit Your Worships to correct
the inadvertent Mistake of the Examining Committee
by ordering payment for my Travelling Expences
