Dear Sir,

I have just now received Yr.
Summons to ye Committee at the Session House
on Monday next. It so happens; that a special
Meeting in Parish Business long since appointed,
will prevent me from attending in ye Occasion.

It I could have attended, I should have
troubled ye Committee with some Observations,
which I hope they with permit you to reach;
& to which I am persuaded they will do me
the Honour to pay as much Attention as they
are of Opinion those Observations deserve.
1st. then I beg leave to observe, that I have put
Difficulty in my Mind on ye Subject of feeding
the Prisoners with a Lamp of Meat simply toiled,
