To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the
Peace in and for the County of Middlesex
Assembled at their General Quarter Session of
the Peace begun and holden the Eighth day of
January in the 38th year of King George the
Third

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwns
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex and
Liberty of Westminster

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order under the hands
and Seals of Wm Bleamire< no role > & Aaron Graham< no role > Esqrs Two
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace in & for the County
of Middlesex (One of the Quorum) bearing date the 15th.
day of Decr. 1797 Ann Evans< no role > (with her illegitimate Child
named Elizth< no role > . aged about 12 Months for Nurture) was
removed and conveyed from & out of the Parish of Saint
James at Clerkenwell in the County of Middx to the said
Parish of Saint Clement Danes as the place of her last
legal Settlement whereby your Petitioners conceive
themselves aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore Appeal against
the said Order and humbly Pray relief in the
Premises And that your Worships will be
Pleased to Order that the benefit of this their
Appeal may be saved unto them that the
herring & determining thereof may be Adjourned
until the next General Session of the Peace for the
said County of Middx and that some day in
the same Session may be appointed for that
Purpose

And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc
