Assaulting William Bowyer< no role > then being one of the
Constables of our Lord the King being duly authorized
and empowered to act as such, in the due execution of
his Office, and maliciously cutting and wounding him
in a grievous and terrible manner, with a wicked
intent him the said William Bowyer< no role > feloniously to
kill and Murder: and unlawfully rescuing two
persons then in the Custodys of the said William
Bowyer
< no role > on suspicion of having been Guilty of divers
Crimes and Misdemeanours: on the 17th. day of
December 1797.
