MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the SeventhDay of December in the
thirty eighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc.

Whereas William Baker< no role > Hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by Indenture bearing date the Twenty seventh day of
August One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety four he bound himself an
Apprentice to John Poulton< no role > then of the Parish of Saint John the Evangelist in the
County of Middlesex Plater and Founderer to learn the said arts for the term of
Seven Years And that John Baker< no role > the Father of the Petitioner pay'd to the said John
Poulton
< no role > the Sum of Ten Pounds and ten shillings in consideration that the said John Poulton< no role > should teach and instruct the Petitioner by the best means he could in the said
Arts of Plating and Foundering, and that he could find the Partitioner in sufficient
Meat drink Lodging and all other Necessaries during the said time That the said
John Poulton< no role > had been or the space of Three months and upwards and was then in
confinement for debt in the Marshalsed Prison, and was likely to remain therein for
a long time to come, by reason whereof the said John Poulton< no role > was unable to teach
and instruct the petitioner in the said Arts of Plating and Foundering, and to find
and provide for his accordingto the tenor and effect of the said Indenture of
Apprenticeship, whereby the Petitioner conceived himself aggrieved, and prayed to be
discharged from the said Indenture of Apprenticeship, with the said John Poulton< no role >
Whereupon at the request of the said Petitioner It is Ordered that the benefit
of his said Appeal should be saved unto him, and the hearing and determining
thereof be, and the same is hereby adjourned until the next General Quarter Session
of the Peace to be holden for this County, and on notice hereof in the mean time to be
given unto the said John Poulton< no role > , he and all persons concerned do attend the Court
at the Session House aforesaid, on Thursday the Eleventh day of January next
at the hour of nine in the forenoon of the same day to here and abide the judgment
and determination of the said Court touching the said Appeal.
