Proposals for taking down the present decay'd
Timber Footway on the South side of Brentford
Bridge & to Erect a new one agreeable to a Design
drawn for that purpose.

Vizt

To Erect a Hoard the whole length of the
Bridge 10 feet high next the Carriage Way & to
enclose the East & West Ends of Footway to prevent
Accidents & for commodiously performing the Work

To provide & erect Scaffolding Stays Tyes
props & every other necessary for carrying the Work
into execution

To take up the paving Ground, planking
Joist Railing Beams & all matters which construct
the present Footway excepting the piles, Tyes & Tailing
pieces to Joint against the Brickwork which is
suppos'd to be sound

To frame & Erect a Timber Foot bridge of
sound & well season'd English Oak as follows & agreeable
to the Design & dimensions by Seale or Figures on the
same
Main Beam 14 inches by 12 inches Nus Tyes to
the Center Truss 12 inches by 10 inchesExtra Tailing
prices 6 inches by 5 inches on an Average,-King posts
& posts over Tyes 6 inches square in their smallest
partsTop Rail 6 inches by 4 inches Capping on do.
10 inches by 3 inches weatherd & throated, Braces 6 inches
by 5 inches, the other Rails 4 by 3 inches, Joint 6 inches
by 3 inches, Oak plank 3 inches thick Jointed & laid close
on Joint to receive Ground for paving, to Skirt on the
inside & board the Outside & Capp the same with 3in Oak
plank in level lengths along the inside of framming &
outside above Beam as describ'd by the dotted Line in
the
