John Dalton< no role > of Old Fish Street in the City of
London Gentleman Maketh Oath and Saith that
Mr Samuel George Evans< no role > late of Grafton Street Saint
Anns Soho in the County of Middlesex Surgeon the
person to whom Thomas Dalton< no role > his this Deponents
Son was bound apprentice to by Indentures bearing
date the Seventh Day of May One thousand Seven
hundred and Ninety Five did leave his House in
Graften Street aforesaid on or about the Month of May
last And this Deponent Saith that the said Samuel
George Evans did previous to his quitting his said House
in Graften Street aforesaid inform this Deponent that
he meant and intended to do so and to rurbark for the
East Indies And this Deponent further Saith that
since the said Samuel George Evans leaving his said
House and absenting himself from his business he
this Deponent has made several Inquires concerning
him and particularly of the wife of the said Samuel
George Evans who informed this Deponent that the
said Samuel George Evans had gone as Surgeon or
Board the Pitt East Indeman which Sailed for the East
Indies on or about the Mouth of Mary or June last
which Information this Deponent firmly believes it to the
true And this Deponent Saith that to the cert of his
knowledge he believes and he has been informed that
the said ship is not yet returned from her said
Voyage.
