To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their Michaelmas
Quarter Session of the Peace held for the said County
in October 1796 assembled

The humble Petition of James
Harding
< no role > of the Parish of Edmonton
in the County aforesaid Vintner .

Sheweth

That last year your Worships granted
a Licence for a certain House or Place for Publick
Dancing, Musick or other Entertainments of the like
kind called or known by the Name of the Assembly
Room at the Angel in the said Parish.

That the said House or Place is
now in the occupation of your Petitioner who will
take the utmost care to preserve good decorum and
that every thing therein shall be conducted with
decency, sobriety and good manners and in strict
conformity to the Act of Parliament in that behalf

Your Petitioner therefore humbly
prays, that your Worships would
be pleased to grant him a Licence
for the purpose aforesaid for the
year ensuing.

And your Petitioner will
ever pray Etc.
