[..] sd, upon the River Lee
did Steer a Barges near Tottenham Mills
in the said County & over the Stern of the Said
Barge did put, or Cause to be put, Several empty Sacks purposely to cover & Covered the
Names of the Owner & Steerman & Places of their abode, in order to prevent any Person
from reading the Same, which by certain Statutes made & provided for proserving
the Navigation of the River Lee, are directed to be placed on the Stern of all Barges & other
Vessels & to by kept at all Times plain & legible wch, are navigated upon the sd, River,
upon due Proof of this Offence & by Authority of the Said Statutes, I the sd. Justice
do adjudge him the Said
