Middlesex


At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden in and for the County of Middlesex at
the Session House for the said County on Tuesday the
Tenth day of May in the Thirty sixth year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of
Great Britain et Before William Mainwaring< no role >
William Bleamire< no role > , Rupert Clarke< no role > , William Claxton< no role >
Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of our said
Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers Sessions Trespasses and other Misdemeanours
Committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Saint
dunstan in the East in the City of London Did at the last General quarters
Session of the peace held in and for this County Exhibit their petition and
Appeal setting forth That by virtue of an order or Pass warrant under the
Hands and Seals of R.Davis Esquire and the Revd. Henry Reynett Clark< no role >
two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex
(one being of the quorum) bearing date the 15th day of March 1796 John
Saunders
< no role > Elizabeth< no role > his wife and their Child John< no role > were removed and conveyed
from and out of the Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel in the County of
Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Dunstan in the East in the City of
London as the place of their last legal settlement whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjourned untill
this Session now upon hearing the said Appeal and what hath been redged by
the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parishes
their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the Premises It is Ordered
that so much of the said Appeal as respects the settlement of the said Elizabeth
Saunders
< no role > and her Child John< no role > be and the same is hereby quashed and It
is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Saint dunstan in the last do forthwith convey and deliver back
the said Elizabeth Saunders< no role > and her said Child together with a copy of this order
