MIDDLESEX


AT the General Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session House for the said County,()
on Monday the TenthDay of May in
the Thirty sixthYear of the Reign of our S overeign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc. Before
William Mainwaring< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , Rupert Clarke< no role >
William Claxton< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and oversees of the poor of the Parish of Saint Nicholas Deptford
in the County of Kent Did at the General quarter Session of the Peace held in and for this County in the
month of January last Exhibit his Petition and appeal settingforth That by an order under the Hands and
seals of two of this Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex (one whereof
is of the quorum) bearing date the Twelth day of december last past. Jane Posselwhite< no role > and her two
Children namely Sarah< no role > aged Six Years or thereabouts and Joseph< no role > aged about Seventeen Months
were removed and conveyed from the Parish of Saint George Middlesex to the Parish of Saint
Nicholas deptford aforesaid as the place of their last legal settlement whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves aggrieved, which said Appeal stood duty adjourned until this Session now
the said Appeal coming on to be heard (It is Ordered (upon Motion of Counsel for that
purpose made for and on the behalf of the Churchwardens and Oversees of the poor of the said
Parish of Saint George) that the said order of the said two Justices be and the same is
hereby quashed and it is further ordered that the Churchwardens and Oversees of the poor
of the said Parish of Saint Nicholas deptford do forthwith convey and deliver back the said
Jane possewhite and her two Children together with a copy of this order unto the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint George who are hereby required to receive and
Provide for the said Jane Posselwhite< no role > and her said two Children since her said Removal
