MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County, () on Monday
the Eleventh Day of January
in the Thirty sixth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , Rupert
Clarke
< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > David Dean< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Giles
Camberwell in the County of Surrey Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by virtue of an Order or pass Warrant under the Hands and
Seals of Tho. Barnard< no role > and K. Davies Esquires two of this Majestys Justices of the peace for the
county of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the 30th. day of December
last Martha Walker< no role > wife of Matthew Walker< no role > who had deserted and left her and their four
Children Martha< no role > aged about Six Years. Margaret< no role > aged about Five Years, Matthew< no role > aged
about Four Years and Hannah< no role > aged about Ten Months were removed from the Parish of
Saint Mary Whitechapel in the County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Giles
Camberwell in the said County of Surrey alledging the said Parish of Saint Giles
Camberwell to be the place of their last legal settlement whereby the petitioners
conceived themselves aggrieved

NOW, upon hearing the said Appeal, in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary WhiteChapel
and they consenting by their Counsel to the allowing the said Appeal, IT IS ORDERED,
that the said Appeal be, and the same is hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Jus-
tices is hereby vacated and set aside; and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Giles Camberwell
do forthwith convey and deliver back the said Martha Walker< no role > and her said 4 Children
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Martha Walker< no role > and their said Four Children
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law. And IT IS
FURTHER ORDERED, that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Mary White chapel do forthwith pay or cause to
be paid unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Giles Camberwell the Sum of One pound
for their Charges and Expences in relieving and maintaining the said Martha Walker< no role > and
her said Four Children since their said Removal
