The Examination of John MacDonald< no role > and Thomas Moon< no role >
Rogues and Vagabonds apprehended by John Armstrong< no role >
Constable and others Taken on Oath this 16 Septr. 1795
before me one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County of Middlesex .

The said John Mc. Donald< no role > -saith That he is by Trade an
Enameller of Watches and that he served his apprenticeship
to Mr. Gillanders of Red Lyon Street ion the Parish of Saint
James Clerkenwell in the said County to which Parish this
Examant belongs. That this Examinant has a Wife and
two Children. And that he worked at his said Business
last Week.

The said Thomas Moon< no role > saith That he is by Trade a
Carpenter and now lives in Saint George's fields . That he
served his Apprenticeship toonehis father Joseph Moon< no role >
in the Parish of Bitton in Gloucesater-since which time he
has not done any act to gain him a subsequent Settlement

in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said County
Widow

Who saith That being informed that a private Lottery was
drawing at a House No 7 in the Pipe Field near Goswell Street
in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell kept by a black man,
This Informant went there for the first time on saturday-
Evening last and insured No 7 and 46 to receive one Guinea
if drawn that night whether blanks or prizes- a Person-
