Thomas Carpenter< no role > of High Street in the Parish of Saint
Mary Le Bone in the County of Middlesex Messenger to the Directors
and Guardians of the said Parish Maketh Oath and saith that
Haley Terry< no role > of the Parish aforesaid Singlewoman , who by her
examination in writing upon Oath before James Mercer< no role >
Esquire one of The Majesty's Justices of the Pence on the
eleventh day of April last declared herself to be with Child
which was likely to be born a Bastard and that John
Baford< no role > was the Father of the said Child, was on the
Twenty sixth day of June now last past as this
deponent hath been informed and behear delivered
of the said Bastard Child in the Workhouse of the said
Parish but that not any Order of Filiation hath yet
been made by reason the said Haley Terry in not as This
deponent believes sufficiently recovered of her lying inn
to attend and be further examined touching the Premises
And this Deponent further saith that he did on Thursday
the second day of July instant serve Mr. George Buckston< no role > [..]
of the Bail for the Appearance of the said John Beford< no role >
on the Occasion aforesaid with the Notice in Writing
hereto annexed by delivering to and leaving with the Wife
of the said George Buckton< no role > a true Copy of the said Notice And that
this deponent on the said second day of July instant also served
Mr. Thomas Farrer< no role > the other of the said Bail with the said
annexed Notice by delivering to him a true Copy thereof
