The Humble Petition and appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint Thomas the Apostle
in the City of London
Sheweth
That by an Order of removal bearing date the twenty fourth
day of November last past under the hands and seals of Patrick Colquhoun< no role >

and Henry Reynell< no role >
doctor in divinityEsquiretwo of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in
and for the county of Middlesex
(one whereof being of the quorum) Catharine
Waters< no role >
wife of Richard Waters< no role >
(therein mentioned to be in a French Prison)
and her two children lawfull issue namely William< no role >
aged two years and
Catharine< no role >
aged four Months were removed from the parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch
in the county of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Saint Thomas
the Apostle
as the place of the last legal settlement of the said Catharine Waters
and her two children
That your Petitioners conceive themselves agrieved by the said
order of removal and appeal against the same.
Your Petitioners therefore most humbly
pray this court that they may be heard atthis
Presentthe next general Quarter Sessions, of the Peace
touching the said appeal And that all Parties
concerned May attend and abide the Judgment and
Determination of this Court touching the same
And your Petitioenrs shall ever pray Etc.
