MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County,on Monday
the Fourteenth Day of July
in the Thirty fourth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role >
William Bleamire< no role > Rupert Clark< no role > John
Floud

Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Alban
in the County of Hertford Did at the last General Quarter Session of the
Peace held in and for the County Exhibit their Petition and appeal setting
forth that by an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals
of Sir William Gibbons< no role > Bart and Thomas Wood< no role > the Younger Esqr . two of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex aforesaid (one
whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the twenty first day of Septer
last past George Cottril< no role > Hannah< no role > his Wife and their Four children
namely John< no role > aged about eight Years George< no role > aged about Six Years
Mary< no role > aged about Five Years and Ann< no role > aged about three Years were
removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of Hanworth in the said
County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Alban as the place of
their last legal settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjourned until this Session

Now, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses
in and concerning the Premises. IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the
same is hereby dismissed, and that the said Order of the said two Justices be, and the same is
hereby confirmed; And IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Alban do maintain
and provide for the said George Cottrill< no role > Hannah< no role > his Wife and their said four Children
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
