His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in and for the said
County this Seventeenth day of May 1794
Who saith That on Wednesday last about Nine
o' Clock at night the Prisoner
Mary Ragan< no role >
came
into her House for two Glasses of Gin one was for herself and
the other for a Woman who was standing bye the
Prisoner; the Prisoner paid this Informant for the
Liquor with half a Crown, and desired change, this
informant gave [..] the Prisoner two shillings for the
change out of the half Crown which she took up, and
put down two Counterfeit shillings saying at the same
time this Informant had given her two bad shillings
and this Informant saith That the Counterfeit half
Crown now produced is the same that the Prisoner
tendered to her in Payment for the Gin.
