Middlesex to wit


The Examination of John Small< no role > a Rogue and
Vagabond apprehended by John Armstrong< no role > , Constable
taken on oath before me one of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the said County this
25th. day of February 1794.

Who Saith That he is by a Trade a Chip Hat Weaver that he is at
present employed by his Father in carrying about Game Cocks
and that the place of his last legal Settlement is in the Parish of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the County aforesaid by his father
renting a House in Webb Square in the said Parish and paying
Taxes for the same.

The Examination of the said John Armstrong< no role >
Who on his Oath saith That this Evening the 25th. day of february
instant about seven o Clock he apprehended the said John Small< no role >
in Shoreditch in the said County, the said small was following
a Man who had a bundle under his Coat, and this Examinant
verily believes that the said small intended to steal the said Bunde [..]
if this Examinant had not apprehended him and this examinant
saith that the said small is a person of evil fame and a reput [..]
Thief.
