Middlesex Court


The Information of David Branshaw< no role > late Pot boy
to Joseph Austin< no role > at the sign of the Antelope Phipp
Street Holywell Mount in the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch in the said County taken on oath before me
One of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said
County this 20th. day of November 1793.

Who on his oath Saith That about five Weeks also the
Prisoner at the Bar Ann Sweatman< no role > who [..] wrought
at his said master Mr. Austins Ask Informant if he
Could get her a drop of Gin upon which he went and
drew a half Pint off a Cask of Gin belonging to his
Said master and which he delivered to the said Ann
Sweatman in a Tin Pot That informant on the
same day Drew another half pint at the request of the
said Ann Sweatman and delivered to her That
about a week after this the said Ann Sweatman
delivered a bottle to Informant and requested him to
get it filled which he did from his masters [..]
That Informant sometime after this at the request
of the said Ann Sweatman filled another bottle of
his masters Gin and carried to the said Ann
Sweatmans house and delivered it to her
the said David Branshaw< no role > also saith That about
a Month ago he went to the house of the prisoner
at the bar Judith Perkins< no role > with Some beer from his
masters house That at this time she asked him if he
Could bring her a bottle of Gin unknown to his
master That the day after this Informant drew a
bottle of his Masters gin and carried to the house of
the said Judith Perkins< no role > and delivered to her That
Informant at Sundry time after at the request of the said
Judith Perkins< no role > Carried her other four bottles of Gin
one botltle of brandy one bottle of Rum and one
bottle of Bitters all which he took from his
masters Cellar and further saith That the said
Judith Perkins< no role > gave him about Eight Shillings
at different times for the said Spirits and often
desired Informant to take care that his master
did not discover him bringing the Spirits
