Middlesex to wit


The Information of Joseph Underwood< no role > of Keate
Street Spital fields in the said County and John Whisker< no role >
of Red Lyon Street Spitalfield aforesaid taken on Oath
before me one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County this 29th. day of October 1793.

This Informant Joseph Underwood< no role > on his Oath saith
That he is a Patrole of the Parish of Christ Church in the
said County, that last on Saturday Night last on Going his rounds, he
observed a Breach in a wall adjoining the Vestry Room of
a Meeting House in White Row in the Parish of Christ
Church aforesaid and on searching the Premises this
informant found in a Privy belonging to the Meeting
hour, a [..] rnder [..] Box with Matches and a piece of
Caudle and a [..] Steel, this informant
after calling to his assistance the said John Wisker< no role >
went into the Vestry Room and waited till half an
hour past twelve o' Clock, when this informant heard a
Noise of chopping at the Breach, this informant and
the said Whisker immediately ran from the Vestry
Room to the Breach in the wall and saw, the Prisoner
Robert Ferguson< no role > endeavouring to make his Escape on
seeing this informant, and the hatchet now produced
was lying close by the Breach.

This Informant John Whisker< no role > on his Oath saith That
he seized hold of the Prisoner, and asked him what he
did there, the Prisoner said that he was greatly in
debt and wanted to get some Money,
