their usual above, on receiving their first Summons
and are by that means building defeance to, &
endeavouring to Evade the Law which practice
if not just a stop to must be of very ill
Consequence to the Militia Law , which now
request the utmost attention.

This being the Case I must you will lend
a favourable ear to owr Request, &whichwe
beg leave to assure you our desiring their
attendence proceeded only from our desire of
putting the Militia Lace duly in execution
not having the least Idea , that we had any
Authority to dispense with their attendance
at Sessions. she Sessions be over before
you receive this we still hope it is in your
power to prevent the Fines being Estreated.

I find I am under a mistake as to Collins
he was not find but the other Brentford
Constable Baby, who was then but departed
for soon.

The Harmsworth constable sent his Headbro ' to
make his Excuse who lost his way & therefor
did not appear.
