MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County, ()
on Monday the Seventh Day of January in
the Thirty third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, etc. Before
william Mainwaring< no role > , William Bledmire< no role > , Charles Sheppard< no role >
Thomas Collins< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas Lewis Wheatley< no role > Hath at this present Session Exhibited his
petition and appeal setting forth That on the fifth day of November One Thousand
seven Hundred and Ninety two He was Convicted before George Story< no role > Esquire and
John Staples< no role > Esquire two of His Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of
middlesex for receiving harbouring and detaining a Spaniel Dog the property of
John Ralph Gibson< no role > knowing the same to have been stolen and was adjudged by the
said Justices to forfeit and pray for the same the Sum of Twenty Pounds, whereby
the petitioner conceived himself aggrieved Now the said appeal coming on to be
heard and the said George Story< no role > and John Staples< no role > Esqr being solenmly called
to come forth and support their said Conviction but not appearing nor any Person
on their behalf (and proof being made upon Oath that true Copy's of the petition
and order of Court thereunto annexed for the hearing and determining the said appeal at this present Session had been left for the said George
Story
< no role > and John Staples< no role > Esqr at the public Office in High Street Shadwell and also
a true Copy thereof for the said John Ralph Gibson< no role > at his dwelling House at
Stratford in the Parish of Westham is the County of Essex ) It is Ordered
that the said Conviction be and the same is hereby quashed
