The following report of Mr Rogers the County Surveyor made in
Pursuance of the Direction of the Committee appointed to consider the Petition
of the Inhabitants of Enfield relative to the Bridge at Forty Hill being
read Viz.

(Were insert Mr Rogers's Report Verbatim)

Resolved That this Court would not be warranted in considering this
as a County Bridge

Ordered That the Clerk of the Peace do Transmitt to Mr Prescott a Copy
of the Report of the County Surveyor and at the same time request him to
communicate to the other Gentleman interested in the said petition the
said Report and the resolution of the Court thereon

It having been suggested to the Court that the Vagrant Act passed
in the last Session of Parliament would very much alter the System of the
Vagrant Laws Resolved that it be referred to the Committee to whom the
petition of Henry Adams< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. the Contractor for passing of Vagrants stands
referred to take the same into Consideration & Report their Opinion theron
to the Court and that the said Committee do meet on this subject and on the
subject of the Petition of the said Henry Adams< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. previous to the last adjournmt
day of this Session and that Sir Sampson Wright< no role > Knight be added to the
said Committee.

The Committee for Building the House of Correction having dated to
the Court that they should been want of £1000 to pay to several of the
Tradesmen who had performed Work at the New Building before they
would be able to receive sufficient to discharge the same Ordered that the
Trear of the Monies reced towards depaying the Expense of buildg the sd. House of Corrn
County Treasurer do Advance the Sum of £1000 to thesaid Committee to
be repaid out of the first Money received bythem him
