The Examination of Hester Payne< no role > a Rouge
and Vagabond taken before me that right the
day of April 1791

Who says that she is 47 Years of Age was born at
Lineford in the County of Wilts that about thirteen Years ago she lived
as a yearly hired Servant for eight years and upwards with the Late
Duke of Queensbury at Amesbury in the said County of Wilts at the
yearly wages of four Pounds that during such Service she this a
Examinant Contracted Matrimony with John Payne< no role > an Irishman
Whose Place of Settlement she doth not Know nor hath She ever heard
nor hath she heard or seen any thing of him for Seven Years And
further saith that she hath not done any Act whatever whereby to gain
a Settlement since her quitting said Service in any other parish
or place
