<p n="77">parlance, shall be allowed, and wherein the Ordinary Costs<lb></lb>
of the Suit shall be paid; One Moiety of which said<lb></lb>
Forfeiture, when recovered, shall belong and be paid to<lb></lb>
His Majesty and His Successors, and the other Moiety to<lb></lb>
the Person who shall sue for the same.</p>
<p n="78">Provided always, and be it further enacted, That no-<lb></lb>
thing in this Act contained shall ertend, or be construed to<lb></lb>
extend, to six, Controul, or regulate, the Wages or Al-<lb></lb>
lowances to be paid to Servants in the said Business of a<lb></lb>
Weaver, bona fide retained and employed as Foremen.</p>
<p n="79">And be it further enacted by the Authority aforesaid,<lb></lb>
That, from and after the passing of this Act, no Person or<lb></lb>
Persons, being Silk Weabers, residing within the Di-<lb></lb>
stricts aforesaid, shall bade in his or their Service at any<lb></lb>
One Time more than Two Apprentices, upon Pain of<lb></lb>
forfeiting for every Offence the Sum of Twenty Pounds;<lb></lb>
to be levied by Distress and Sale of the Offender's Goods<lb></lb>
and Chattels, upon Conviction, on the Oath or Oaths<lb></lb>
of One or more credible Witness or Witnesses, before<lb></lb>
Two Justices of the Peace within either of the Jurisdic-<lb></lb>
tions aforesaid where the said Offence shall be committed;<lb></lb>
and the said Penalty, when recovered, shall be paid into<lb></lb>
the Hands of the Master of the Weavers Company, to<lb></lb>
be applied by him as aforesaid, and the said Justices are<lb></lb>
hereby authorised and required to discharged every such<lb></lb>
Apprentice or Apprentices exceeding the Number of Two,</p>
<p n="80">Provided also, and be it further enacted, That it shall<lb></lb>
and may be lawful for any Person convicted, before any<lb></lb>
Two Justices of the Peace, as Mentioned, to ap-<lb></lb>
peal to the Justices of the Peace assembled at the next<lb></lb>
General Quarter Sessions or General Sessions to be<lb></lb>
held for the County, City, or Place, wherein such Con-<lb></lb>
viction shall be made, giving immediate Notice of such<lb></lb>
Appeal, and finding sufficient Security to the Satisfac-<lb></lb>
tion of such Justices for being personally present at such<lb></lb>
General Quarter Sessions or General Sessions, and for<lb></lb>
prosecuting the said Appeal with Effect, and abiding the<lb></lb>
Judgement of the Court; and such Justices, in such Ge-<lb></lb>
neral Quarter Sessions or General Sessions, shall finally<lb></lb>
hear and determine the Matter, and shall have Power.</p>
