and peace abovesaid And that at the same Session of the
Peace being holden by adjournment aforesaid at the Session
House aforesaid in and for the said County in the said Thursday
the Twenty Sixth day of June in the Year aforesaid before the
said Justices of our said Lord the King abovenamed and
others their Fellows aforesaid

Whereas John Abrahams< no role > of Tottenham Street Tottenham Court Road
Bricklayer , Thomas Richardson< no role > of Grays Ann Lane Cow Keeper and Henry Stead< no role >
of John Street Tottenham Court Road Taylor on behalf of themselves and others their
Parishioners and Inhabitants of the Parish of Saint Pancras in the said County
Did at the last General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said County
Exhibit their Petition and Appeal settingforth That the Parishioners of Saint
Pancras had always been accustomed to assemble in open Vestry early on the
Tuesday in Easter Week in pursuance of a notice given on the preceding Sunday
for the purpose of Returning proper persons to the Magistrates of the Division to
be by them appointed to the respective Offices of Churchwardens Overseers of the
Poor and Constable for that Parish That there being three Division in the
Parish with a seperate Overseer for each and two or more persons having
always been nominated for each Division at the Vestry the Parishioners had
always proceeded to make their Election by scratching against the Names of
the respective Nominees and that on a Return being made by the Vestry
Clerk of the Proceedings of the Parishioners to the Magistrates the
Magistrates had invariably appointed such persons as have had the
Majesty of scratches in their favour. That on Tuesday in the last Easter
Week an Open Vestry was held for the purpose aforesaid (inpursuance
of a Notice given on the preeceding Sunday at which a great Number of
Parishioners attended and Six persons were put in Nomination for the
Office of Overseers of the said Parish for the our ensuing Year in order that
three of them might be closen that the Parishioners Proceeded to their
Election in the usual Mode in the result of which there appeared for
