first the said John Shallis for himself saith that or the
fourteenth day of this Instant December An Order of
Filiation was made by William Blackborow< no role >
Esquire and Charles
Triquet< no role >
Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace in
and for the said County against John Berry< no role >
late of Barking
in
the County of Essex
Husbandman
concerning a female
Bastard Child born in the Body of Elizabeth Hill< no role >
Singlewoman
whereby the said Elizabeth Hill< no role >
by her Examination taken
the tenth day of this Instant December swore that the said
John Berry< no role >
was the Father of the said Bastard Child And
this Deponent further saith that by the said Order made
by the said William Blackborow and Charles Triquet they
and among other Things order the and John Berry< no role >
to pay to
the Churchwardens and overseers of the said Parish of
Saint James Clerkenwell
the Sum of One pound and
twelve Shillings for the Maintenance of the said Bastard
Child to the Time of Making their said Order And this
Deponent further saith That at the time the said Order
was is made as aforesaid, he this Deponent demanded
of the said John Berry< no role >
the said One pound and twelve Shillings
for the Maintenance of the said Bastard Child And that
at the time he as demanded the said Money the said
John Berry< no role >
refused or declined paying the same And
this Deponent further suits that the said John Berry< no role >
