To the Worshipfull His Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex Assembled at the General
Quarter Sessions Held at the Sessions House One
Clerkenwell Green in and for the said County on the monthday of
January 1787

The Humble Petition and Appeal of
Thomas Gurney< no role > of Pinner in the County of Middlesex
Chandler and Maker of Candles for sale

Sheweth


That your Petitioner was on the 28th. day of December
last Convicted before Henry Lambe< no role > and Thomas Fellows< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and forth County of Middlesex on the Information of one Mile
Rogers in a Penalty of One Hundred Pounds Alledging that your Petitioner had frauduling
removed Candles from the Place of making the same before they had been Weighed by
the Surveying Officer

That Your Petitioner conceives himself Aggreived by the
said Conviction and is Advised that the Ought not to have been Convicted

Therefore your Petitioner most humbly Prays
your Worships will be Pleased to Permit him to
Enter his Appeal to the said Conviction

And your Petitioner will ever
Pray Etc.
