To the Worshipful the Chairman & the Rest of
the Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex , in
General Session assembled

The Humble Petition of Richard Armstrong< no role >

Humbly Sheweth


That Your Petitioner officiated as Messenger to the
Commissioners under an Act of Parliament for Building a
New Sessions House for this County, from the Passing the
said Act till the Building Was finished, in the Whole
Four Years, or thereabouts

That, during that Time, there were a great
Number of Meetings of the Commissioners, for all which
your Petitioner had Summons to deliver, at different
Parts of the Town, Advertisements to insert in the different
Newspapers, & Likewise constantly attended at every
such Meeting to do whatever Should be required of him

That when Your Petitioner undertook the said Office
he understood he was to have a Salary or Gratuity for
the Same, but hath not as yet received any

Your Petitioner therefore humbly
prays Your Worships would
take the Matter into Consideration
& allow such Recomponse as to
Your Worships shall seem meet

And Your Petitioner (as in Duty
bound)

Shall ever Pray, Etc.
