And Margaret the wife of the said John Morgan< no role >
who is above charged in the said Indictment by the
Name of Mary< no role > the wife of the said John Morgan< no role >
cometh here in Court in her proper Person and having
heard the said Indictment read, Saith that she is
the person mentioned and Intended by the Name of Marry the wife
of the said John Morgan< no role > and the said Margaret Morgan Prays
Judgment of the said Indictment because she says that on the day of
Preferring of the said Indictment and always from the time of her
Baptism hitherto she the said Margaret the wife of the said John
Morgan
< no role > was called and known by the Name of Margaret and not by
the Name of Mary as by the said Indictment is supposed and this she
is ready to Verify. Wherefore since she the said Margaret Morgan< no role >
is named by the Name of Mary the wife of the said John Morgan< no role >
in the said Indictment She the said Margaret Prays Indictment
of the said Indictment and that she may not be Called to Answer
the same

Margaret the wife of John Morgan< no role > of New Crane in the Parish
of Saint Paul Shadwell in the County of Middlesex Victualler
who stand Indicted as the Name of Mary the wife of John Morgan< no role >
late of the Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the County of Middlesex
Victualler for the Assault mentioned in the said Indictment maketh
Oath and Saith that she has read the above written Plea and that
the Substance and Matter of Fact Contained therein is true

Sworn in Open Court as the General Session of
the peace holden for the said County as the Session
house on Clerkenwell Green on Monday the Twenty
Eight day of August in the year of her Lord One
Thousand seven hundred and Eight six}
