That your Petitioners apprehend under such renting and occupation
of the said James Phillips< no role > he gained a Settlement in the said Parish of
Saint James and that the said Elizabeth Phillips< no role > his Widow and Sarah< no role >
his Daughter ought not to have been removed therefrom to the said Parish
of Walcot .

Your Petitioners therefore pray that the said
Elizabeth Phillips< no role > and her Daughter may be
removed back from the said Parish of Walcot
to the said ,Parish of Saint James and that
the said order of removal made by the
said William Gowan< no role > and John Clarke< no role >
may be quashed and that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of Saint James may pay to your Petitioners
the Charges of such removal and the expences
of maintaining the said Paupers since they
were so removed and the Costs of this application

And your Petitioners shall ever
pray Etc

At the general Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden in and for the County of Middlesex
at the Sessions House for the said County on Monday
the 20th. day of February in the Twenty Sixth year of
the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third
King of Great Britain & and in the year of our Lord
1786

It is Ordered by this court that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Saint James Westminster in the County of Middlesex have
Notice of this Appeal and that they and all persons concerned do attend
this Court on Thursday the 23d. day of February Instant at nine of the
Clock in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abide the Judgement and
determination of this Court touching the said Appeal
