Mr. Gibbs the Apothecary to New Prison & the House of Correction
being called in Stated to the Court that the said John Edwards< no role >
when her came to the Prison was in the most deplorable Condn.
being One Mass of Vermin and disease he also Stated to the
Count that the Vagrants in general which were sent to the
said Goals were in a most week deplorable & fiftly State
and that in Consequence thereof many of them were Obliged
to be Kept therein for a might and upwards before it was
Possible for them the removed

Mr Harwood the Governer of the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell being called in Stated to the
Court that the said John Edwards< no role > a Vagrant was went
to the said Goal from Shadwell by Peter Greene< no role > Esqr . One
of the Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this County
in a very week and dangerous State both in regard
to himself and the Health of the Prisoners in general

Resolved That the Consideration of the above Circumstans
he referred to the Commee appointed [..] in September
Session to Conside the allegation contained in a Petitioner deliver
by Henry adams< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. Contractor for Conveying Vagrants in thourgh &
of this Counts
and that Sir Sampson Wright< no role > Kinght of John
Barnfather
< no role > Esqr . be added to the said Commee
Resolved that a Circular Letter he sent to His Majestys
Justices of the Peace action on ofter this County recom
mending it to them to take care that the Paupers are
in a proper State to be removed before they Vign any
Pass Warrt. for that Purper
