NORFOLK.
At the Adiizes held for this County, upon the
18th Day of July, 1785.
THE GRAND JURY unanimously returned their
Thanks to their REPRESENTATIVES for their Conduct
in Parliament, and Attention the Interest of their Constituents
Particularly by their Zealous Endeavours to relieve their Country
from the very unequal and serve Burden imposed upon them, by the
late BRICK and TILE TAX; at the same Time the GRAND
JURY came to the following Resolutions:

First-That their Members be earnestly requested to use every
Endeavor to obtain either a total Repeal of the said Act, or Such an
Extention of the Tax to other Materials used in building, as
may enable Government, without any Diminution of the Revenue
in some Degree to alleviate the Hardship that particular Counties
new labor under from the said Act.

SecondThat the Members for the City of Norwich and the
other Members for Places within the said County, be requested to
support the County Members in the said Application.

ThirdThat Mr. Finch the Clerk of the Peace for this County,
be desired to transmit these Resolutions to the Clerks of the Peace of
the different Counties in England and Wales . to lay the same before
the Gentleman assembled at their next General Quarter Sessions of
the Peace for their respective Counties, in hopes of their Concurrence
and Assistance in promoting the Objects of these Resolution

FourthThat these Resolutions be inserted three Times in four
of the Evening Papers published in London, and as often in the
two Norwich Papers.
