Your Committee to make the said Particular & Estimate informed your Committee
that the Estimated the Expence of carrying the External Works into Execution at or
about the Sum of £200 & the Expence of carrying the Internal Works into Execution
at or about the Sum of £150 making in the whole £350.
That inconsequence of Advertisemts. incerted in the
Publick Papers the following Proposals were delivered in by persons offering
to give Satisfactory Security for the due performance of ye abovementd. Work.

A Proposal of

for the Masons Work only, but that not coming
within the intention of the Committee It was totally rejected.
No. 2
A Proposal of
John Wood< no role >
to compleat the Work for £533 Vizt for
the Inside Work £256 for the Outside Work £277.And the said
John Wood< no role >
being asked if the could abate any thing of the above Sum
he answered in the negative
No. 3
A Proposal of
Wm Rolfe< no role >
. by which he offered to do the said Work for £350
Vizt. for the Inside Work £170 for the Outside Work £180. but that he
could abate nothing of that Sum
No. 4
A Proposal of
Thos. Fletcher< no role >
by which he offered to compleat the said Works
for £611: Vizt. for the Outside Work £319..10.for the Inside Work £291
and being asked if he could abate any thing he said he would abate £50.
No. 5
A Proposal by
Jas. Piper< no role >
by which he offer'd to execute the Works for £444
but that he could not abate any thing of that Sum
That Your Committee are of Opinion That Mr.
Rolfe having agreed to perform the Work at the lowest price and having
offered to give Security for the due performance thereof is intitled to the
preference but the Committee apprehend that they are not are thorized
to contract with Mr Rolfe until the Estimate and Agreement for carrying
the same into Execution shall have been first approved of and agreed to
by The Justices assembled in their Quarter or other General Session of
the Peace or the Major past of them according to the Proviso contained
in the said above mentioned Act.
