John Vincent< no role > for an
Assault

Thomas Ayrton< no role > of Princes Street Bedford row in the
County of Middlesex Gentleman Sollicitor for the above
Defendant Maketh Oath That he this Deponent On
Tuesday and Wednesday in the last Week made every Inquiry
in his power to find out the place of Abode of or when the
abovenamed prosecutor John Vincent< no role > might be met with or
heard of in Order to serve him with a Relece for the Tryal of
the Indictment preferred and found against the abovenamed
Defendant for an Assault this Deponent having the said
Notice of tryal with him to serve for that purpose particularly
this Deponent went into the Neighbourhood of Partpool Lane
where this Deponent had been informed the said John Vincent< no role >
lodged but although this Deponent called at many houses and
enquired at several different places about that Neighbourhood for
and after the said John Vincent< no role > this Deponent was not able
upon such Inquiry to find him out a get any Intelligence of
him Save and except this Deponent was informed by a Mr Rice
Jones
< no role > that the said John Vincent< no role > was at Ipswich in the County
of Suffolk And this Deponent farther Saith that afterwards
hearing Mr Chetham had been concerned in the prosecution he
this Deponent on Saturday last called at the said Mr
Chethams House who not being at home this Deponent left the
said Notice of Trial with a note in writing requesting the said
Mr Chetham to accept the same Notice but in the afternoon
Evening of the same day the said Mr Chetham resumed the same
back to this Deponent not Chasing to accept thereof
