WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace, in and for the
County of MIDDLESEX , (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of ST. LUKE , in the said County, That George
Fowler
< no role > and Mary< no role > his Wife have

lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge that they are likely to become charge-
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of the said
George Fowler< no role > taken upon Oath,
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Woodford in the
County of Essex
is the Place of the last legal settlement of the said George
Fowler
< no role > and his said Wife
These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command you the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of ST. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey
the said George Fowler< no role > and his said Wife
from the said Parish of ST. LUKE , to the said Parish of
Woodford and deliver them to the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for them
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals, the
Sventeenth Day of March 178 4.

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of ST. LUKE, in the County of MID-
DLESEX , and Woodford in the
County of Essex
and to all other Officers whom it may
